One of the most attractive and well-renowned conference venues in Munich, the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (HBW) is situated in a peaceful and central location just a few minutes by foot from Marienplatz and Karlsplatz. Before the HBW was established in 1997, this spot was home to the legendary Grand Hotel Continental. The Grand Hotel Continental regularly welcomed monarchs, such as the Austrian Empress Sissi, as well as well-known writers, such as Thomas Mann, Gerhart Hauptmann and Rainer Maria Rilke.
